These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website design, hosting, and subscription services (“Services”) provided by AF Web Design (“I,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By subscribing to or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

1.1 We provide professional website design, development, hosting, maintenance, and support through a subscription model.

1.2 The Services include:

• Website design and development

• Hosting on secure, WordPress-optimised servers

• Ongoing maintenance, including software updates, security updates, performance and SEO optimisation

• Technical support and minor content adjustments

• On-page SEO optimisation (page titles, headings, meta descriptions, image alt text, URL structure, internal linking)

1.3 Additional services such as off-page SEO, content creation beyond provided copy, professional logo design, or large-scale redesigns are not included.

2. Subscription Model

2.1 Our Services are provided via an all-in-one subscription plan. Subscription fees cover hosting, maintenance, updates, support, and access to the website.

2.2 Subscription fees are payable monthly in advance via credit or debit card. All major cards are accepted.

2.3 There are no upfront fees or deposits. You only begin paying once you have reviewed and approved the initial website draft.

2.4 Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time by logging into your account. Cancellation is immediate, and your licence to use the website design ends upon cancellation.

3. Website Ownership & Licensing

3.1 The website design, graphics, and other assets supplied by us remain our property. Your subscription grants a licence to use these elements for the duration of your subscription.

3.2 Any content you provide, including text, images, and branding materials, remains your property.

3.3 Website copy created for you as part of the Services is owned by you.

3.4 Upon cancellation of the subscription, your licence to use design elements, graphics, and other assets provided by us ends. You are not permitted to use these elements without an active subscription.

4. Domains

4.1 Domains registered as part of your subscription remain under your control for the duration of the subscription.

4.2 If you cancel, you may transfer the domain to another provider. Any registration or transfer fees charged by the new provider are your responsibility. We do not charge additional fees for releasing a domain.

4.3 Externally purchased domains cannot be used with the Services, due to technical, compatibility, and operational constraints.

5. Content & Assets

5.1 You are responsible for providing basic information about your business and services for use on the website.

5.2 If you do not provide branding or a logo, we may create a simple placeholder for use on the website. Professional logo design services are not included.

5.3 We may use stock images or graphics for your website where appropriate. Any stock assets supplied by us are licensed to you for use during your subscription.

5.4 You must retain copies of any content you provide before cancelling the subscription, as we do not retain files or assets after cancellation.

6. Hosting, Maintenance & Support

6.1 Hosting is provided as part of the subscription on secure, WordPress-optimised servers.

6.2 Ongoing maintenance includes software updates, security updates, performance optimisations, and on-page SEO optimisation.

6.3 Technical support is included and provided directly by us. We are your single point of contact for all support, ensuring quick and efficient resolution of issues.

6.4 You may not move the website to another provider, as this would terminate the licence for design elements and compromise hosting, maintenance, and support.

7. Timelines, Feedback & Revisions

7.1 Initial website drafts are generally delivered within seven days of receiving all required content and information.

7.2 Revisions are included to refine the website based on your feedback. Minor changes are included in the normal revision process; significant scope changes may require additional discussion.

7.3 Delays caused by us will result in a discount applied to your next subscription payment. Delays caused by you, such as late provision of content or feedback, will not affect subscription charges.

7.4 You may provide feedback or change your requirements during the process, and we will accommodate reasonable adjustments while maintaining an efficient workflow.

8. SEO & Performance

8.1 On-page SEO optimisation is included in the website build. This includes page titles, headings, meta descriptions, image alt text, URL structure, and internal linking.

8.2 Full SEO services, off-page optimisation, content marketing, or ongoing SEO strategy are not included.

8.3 Websites are built for fast performance and mobile responsiveness. Hosting, caching, and optimisation measures are applied to ensure smooth functionality.

9. Payments

9.1 All payments are collected via our secure subscription system using major credit or debit cards.

9.2 Ongoing subscription payments cover hosting, maintenance, updates, and support.

9.3 Subscription charges are non-refundable.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

10.1 Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time via your account. Cancellation is immediate.

10.2 No refunds are provided for any periods of the subscription.

10.3 Upon cancellation, access to the website, hosting, support, and licensed assets supplied by us will cease.

10.4 You remain responsible for retaining copies of your own content, including text, images, and graphics.

11. Liability

11.1 We make every effort to provide reliable and secure services but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or specific search engine rankings.

11.2 We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.

11.3 You are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws regarding the content you provide.

12. General

12.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on the website.

12.2 By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and any updates.

12.3 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and supersede any prior agreements.

12.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of The United Kingdom, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of The United Kingdom.
